Icma has begun its 85th year of business by obtaining the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification
For Icma, gaining this certification holds an important significance for the progressive completion of its three-year development plan. The ISO 9001:2015 standard has thus been added to its FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Mix Credit and Controlled Woods certificates. Icma has also been committed to reducing its environmental impact by adopting measures and solutions in the field of energy savings, recycling and reuse of water, and fume abatement.
Elena Torri, Icma’s CEO and the fourth generation leading the company, explains Icma’s quality policy as follows: “I am proud of my personnel because they have experienced the certification as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. They have been able to pursue the goal of improving corporate processes and habits. The certification process was less demanding than expected because, in the company, from 1933 until today, it has always been our obsession to design and manufacture papers with measurable quality standards and innovative and original aesthetic characteristics. I am certain that the first people to benefit will be our customers.”
